The Glades Arts & Produce Markets, Byford 2013

 Kaylene, Winston and Andrew Burnell attended The Glades Arts & Produce Markets in Byford. This was Paws for Diabetics Inc's first night market for the year. The weather was pleasant and it was good to see so many people out and about on a Saturday night.


We had various handmade items for sale - beautifully crafted by Kaylene Burnell and her mum Wendy Harper - as well as Devo's new book and a raffle.


We would like to thank Amcal Max Tuart Hill, Winston's family and Barkday Paw-ty Pet Services, Helena Valley for donating the great raffle prizes.



Canning Bridge Arts Markets, 2013

The Canning Bridge Arts Markets, held in Applecross on Feburary 3rd, was our first event for 2013. Paws for Diabetics Inc was represented by Kaylene, Andrew and Winston Burnell. It was good to see so many people out and about, despite it being such a hot day - over 34°C!


The Glades Arts & Produce Markets, 2012

Kaylene, Andrew and Winston Burnell, on behalf of Paws For Diabetics Inc, attended The Glades Arts and Produce Market, held on Saturday December 15, was our very first night time market we had a great time.  There were myriad arts and craft stalls, as well as fresh produce for sale. The surprise of the evening was when Santa made a guest appearance on a Harley Davidson motor bike.


We had various hand made items for sale made by Kaylene Burnell and her mum, Wendy Harper. Thanks to the Burnell family and Pets Meat Suppliers, Mount Hawthorn, for donating the great raffle prizes.




Ellenbrook Arts and Produce Markets, 2012

The Ellenbrook Arts and Produce Markets were held this year on Sunday December 9 with Paws for Diabetics Inc represented by Kaylene, Andrew and Winston Burnell. We had various handmade items for sale made by Kaylene Burnell and her mum Wendy Harper as well as a raffle. Paws for Diabetics Inc would like to give a warm thanks to Kaylene and Andrew Burnell and Pets Meat Suppliers, Mount Hawthorn, for donating the great raffle prizes.





Saint Andrews Grammar Fair, Dianella, 2012

On November 25, Kaylene, Andrew and Winston Burnell attended the annual St Andrews Grammar Fair in Dianella. At the Paws for Diabetics Inc stall, various handmade items were for sale, made with great care by Kaylene Burnell and her mum Wendy Harper. Paws for Diabetics Inc would like to thank Spinnakers Cafe, Amcal Max and Better Pets and Gardens for donating the great raffle prizes.




Rockingham Fair, 2012

The Rockingham Fair, held on November 17, was attended by Kaylene, Winston and Andrew Burnell. As usual, we had various handmade items for sale, made by Kaylene Burnell and her mum Wendy Harper.  Paws for Diabetics Inc would like to give many thanks to Better Pets and Gardens, Pets Meat Suppliers, Mount Hawthorn and City Farmers for donating the raffle prizes.


 


PETScapade, Wellard 2012

This years PETScapade, held on Sunday November 11, at the Village Green in Wellard, was attended by Kaylene Burnell Paws for Diabetics Inc Secretary, WA Area Co-ordinator North and Fundraising Co-ordinator, Andrew and Wnston Bunell, Tracey Charles Paws For Diabetics Inc President, WA Area Coordinator South, as well as friends of Paws for Diabetics Inc, Christine Brlevich and Karen Macpherson. We had various handmade items for sale all made by Kaylene Burnell and her mum  Wendy, with proceeds of all sales going towards the training of new Diabetic Assistance dogs. Paws for Diabetics Inc also held a raffle,and we extend many thanks to Pets Meat Suppliers, City Farmers and Better Pets and Gardens for donating the awesome prizes.


All in all it was a quite successful day. Hope to see you all there next year!

 




Waneroo Dogs' Breakfast 2012

Kaylene Winston and Andrew Burnell, attended this years Wanneroo Dogs' Breakfast on Sunday November 9. It was a cold and blustery day and Andrew had just managed to get the Paws for Diabetics Inc gazebo up before the rain came down. Unfortunately for all the stallholders and attendees, due to the inclimate weather, the event was cancelled about an hour into the rain storm.

Hopefully next year it will be a sunnier day!




Armadale/Kelmscott WA Dogs Day Breakfast, 2012

The Armadale City Councils 6th annual Dogs Day Breakast was held at Rushton Park, on October 28, 2012. Many people attended, along with myriad dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds.  There were various competitions and displays, including breeders associations and other assistance dog organisations.


This was the first year Paws For Diabetics Inc attended the Armadale/Kelmscott Dogs Day Breakfast. We had many people stop for a chat, as well as buy raffle tickets and various handmade items, which were lovingly made by Kaylene Burnell and her mum, Wendy Harper. Winston attended with his mum, Kaylene and dad, Andrew Burnell and big brother, Harley. Emily Charles, along with her pet dog, Sachi, and partner Shane Brlevich and his sister, Christine also attended.


We would like to thank Pets Meat Suppliers for their donation of the 1st and 3rd prizes and Kaylene,Winston and Andrew Burnell, along with Karen Macpherson, with their donation of 2nd prize.


 

 

 Stirling Council, WA, Doggy Do 2012

The annual Stirling Council Doggy Do, held on October 21st 2012, was a quite successful event. It was good to see so many families, and their four legged friends, out and about meeting and greeting old acquaintances and making new friends.


This was the first year Paws for Diabetics Inc were part of the Doggy Do, we held a raffle and various hand made items for sale. Winston, his family - including brother Jack the Poodle -  and friend Karen Macpherson, were all there for a meet and greet as well.


There were several different raffle prizes on offer and we would like to thank Pets Meat Suppliers, Mount Hawthorn; City Farmers and Better Pets and Gardens for their support and kind donations of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and congratulations to all our winners. We would also like to thank Kaylene Burnell and her mum, Wendy Harper, for creating such beautiful hand made items and those who purchased them.
