Don't pat me - I'm working

APR 19, 2005

Cute puppy, Ahanu Aramis wears coat with a patch on it that reads "Please don't pat me I'm working."

Ahanu Aramis's owner, diabetic Lorraine Roulston, was delighted to receive two coats in the mail last Monday for her two very special hypo alert dogs in training.

Mrs Roulston brought her puppy and dog Ming Dong Saki into town last Friday. She put a prescription in at Stewart Hume's shop without fear of having a hypo attack because she'd been away from her Wallangarra home for an hour.

It was the first time the dogs came to town and into a shop with their owner.

Chemist Mr Hume welcomed Mrs Roulston's service dogs.

"Especially since Lorraine came in and ran it by us first," he said.
